Whiteleys – Whiteleys

Hello, it’s the L-Hasi again.

 

Today I was able to leave the office on time (wohoo), so on my way home I run some errands, took a little stroll and saw this beautiful Christmas tree. The picture doesn’t really do it justice; it was huge!

It’s housed in Whiteleys, London’s oldest shopping centre, built in 1911. Back then it had a theatre and a gold course on the top floor. These have since given way to a multiplex cinema and an outdoor parking lot, but some of Whitelys’ grandeur is still visible today. Just look at the glass dome.
