Berliner Siegessäule

photo 3Gasp, gasp… Papi and I climbed the 285 of the Siegessäule. It was worth if. We have a wonderful view.

Japs, japs…

photo 2 Little bit claustrofobic the staircase….

Die Treppen sind ja schon etwas beengend…

photo 1 … but we can see all of the nice day over Berlin

photo 4The Berliner Siegessäule was built in 1873 and is 67m high. She was built in occasion of the victory of Prussia during the Danish – Prussian war in 1864. History lesson anyone?

Die Berliner Sieggessäule. 1873 fertig gebaut ist sie 67m hoch. Anlass zur Erbauung war der Sieg Preußens im Deutsch-Dänischen Krieg 1864. Geschichtswissen irgendjemand?

Back down we took a long walk through the beautiful white Tiergarten and went to the Schleusenkrug, where we had some food and drinks to get over with the gasping.
