Bank on the floor – Bank am Boden

IMG_1732 While cycling today to work I saw these letters from a bank on a floor. When I asked what they were doing with them, the really surprised man told me they were cleaning them. Imagine what a nice job! Cleaning letters! He did not appreciate much my inquire if I could take one home (you never know) but accepted pictures.

Als ich heute auf dem Weg ins Büro war, bin ich an diesen Buchstaben von einem Bankschriftzug auf dem Boden vorbeigeradelt. Der Mann vor Ort hat mir erklärt, dass sie die sauber machen und nein, ich darf keinen Buchstaben mit nach Hause nehmen. Hätte ja sein können. Muss ja ein schöner Job sein, Buchstaben sauber zu machen…


And look how beautiful things can come out of mean banks… Blue! Like the sky! Like the letters themselves…

Und schaut mal was für schöne Sachen aus solchen manchmal gemeinen Sachen wie Banken rauskommen können. Blue! Blau! Wie der Himmel. Wie die Buchstaben selber.


I even saw an A for “Hasi”.

Ich habe sogar ein A für “Hasi” gesehen!
